SPREAD THE WORD

Our goal is to educate people across the U.S. about DC Statehood and to encourage them to ask their friends, families, and members of Congress to support Statehood. But how can we accomplish this goal? With your help! Here’s what you can do to help us spread the word:

  • Get Ready!

    1. Add your name to our Statehood4DC email list. We’ll send informative emails no more than twice a month to let you know what new projects we’re working on, which projects we are about to push out on social media, and how you can help.

    2. Follow us on Statehood4DC’s Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram accounts.

    3. Join our Social Media Team. We are continually working to improve our social media graphics, stories, and approaches. We’d love your ideas!

  • Get Set!

    1. Look for our Statehood4DC emails: when we push a project out on social media, we’ll post a link in our email to a tool kit with special graphics and text that are formatted for social media.

    2. Read our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram posts for up-to-date information about our recent projects.

  • Go!

    1. Send information about the new DC Statehood project to your friends and family via email and whatever social media platforms you like to use (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).

    2. Share, like, and retweet our Statehood4DC social media posts. This action is essential to ensuring that people around the country hear about our work. 

Like most states, DC has vibrant residential neighborhoods, schools, libraries, theaters, independent businesses, sports facilities, restaurants, and bookstores, and even has numerous national parks, including Rock Creek Park.
